Repointing Services
Are there noticeable cracks in the mortar or even the brickwork on or around your chimney? Perhaps there are signs that the mortar has started to deteriorate, and it is crumbling away? In any of these scenarios, repointing your chimney might just be the best course of action to repair and restore this important feature of your roof before you need to completely replace it. Given its integral role in your property’s roof, it should come as no surprise that we are just as concerned about the health of your chimney as we are about the tiling or shingles.
If you think you need the benefit of a qualified and experienced roofing firm for repointing your chimney and the mortar, contact us. We highly recommend particularly that you don’t try to take on the work yourself, as it is a specialist skill that should be left to professionals.
At ACR Roofing, we have the specialist skills and hands-on experience of working with other properties and their chimneys. When you are working with mortar and trying to fix it to repoint a chimney, there is a lot that can go wrong if you don’t know what you are doing. That is why we can’t emphasize enough the importance of hiring a fully licensed and insured team of professionals like ours.
Our repointing process begins with our initial assessment of your property’s chimney, if you accept our quote for the work, we will then start by removing the old and worn mortar joint. Then we will reapply fresh mortar that matches the mixture as closely as possible to maintain the aesthetics of your roof and chimney. We will then finish the job by properly sealing the mortar to protect it from further damage. When was the last time any work was done on your roof or chimney? If you can’t even remember when or it was a long time ago, there’s no time like the present to have those repairs carried out. Call us today!
Testimonials
First class service. Two very proffessonal workmen, did a first class job. Done to a first class standard. Will use them again.
I’ve been a landlord for almost 30 years. Allan and his team at WalesRoofing are without doubt the most reliable and professional roofing company that we have used in our business. Always polite, always turn up when they say and provide a top quality job. His lads are very tidy and helpful. An excellent well organised family run business. If you need any of roofing related job completed, then you will definitely not be disappointed with his company.
I must say Allan has been brilliant and such a genuine person. My neighbours had used the company before and sung them a lot of praise so I decided to go with these. A bit more pricey than the others but I could tell they were trustworthy and knew what they were talking about. They did what they said at they would do unlike the last roofer that charged me and did not a lot. Thank you for your work guys 🙂 I would definitely use again. Friendly clean and tidy 5*
Following a telephone call to their office, it was obvious that operator Allan appreciated that this was causing distress to an elderly lady living alone. An early appointment was made for someone to call round and view the problem. Allan then rang to ask if he could call earlier than arranged and attended exactly as agreed and bang on time. Fixed the problem in 5 minutes flat, having first taken photos to show us the problem, with no fuss whatsoever. Great service from start to finish and cannot recommend highly enough.
A leak from a tiled garage roof draining into a valley gutter was assessed and fixed promptly. I was particularly impressed by the care taken by Martin to assess and explain the issues at each stage of the job.
Wyles roofing came out to quote me for slates to be replaced, we agreed a time and price, the job was done to a very high standard and prompt. Very good service.
